Please read through "Guidelines for the Implementation of the Taiwanese Language Certification Scholarship of the NUST"
Eligibility
(1) International degree-seeking students studying in the system (excluding native Chinese speakers);
(2) Taiwanese language proficiency is required;
(3) Applicants for the Hokkien/Hakka/Aborigine Language Scholarship shall pass the Chinese language test at the advanced level or above before applying;
(4) The Chinese Language Certification Scholarship and the Second Taiwanese Language Certification Scholarship can be applied simultaneously;
(5) Each certification scholarship shall be issued only once. Those who have been subsidized shall not apply for the same language at a lower level than the previous one;
(6) The subsidy is limited to once per year for the same applicant.
Subsidy Principle
According to the test level of each language certification it is listed as follows.
(1) Chinese language certification:
- TOCFL, the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language, organized by the Ministry of Education / Steering Committee for the Test Of Proficiency - Huayu
- Only the listening and reading test scores are required；

(2) Taiwanese Hokkien

(3) Hakka Language
Hakka Language Proficiency Certification, organized by the Hakka Affairs Council: Hakka Language Proficiency Certification, organized by the Hakka Affairs Council

Please prepare
(1) Photocopy of student ID card;
(2) Photocopy of Alien Resident Certificate (ARC);
(3) Photocopy of the bank/post office account’ passbook cover (the account holder and the awardee shall be the same person);
(4) Photocopy of the language test certificate within 2 years of the application deadline
