I am currently collaborating with Prof. Sheng-Yang Wang′s esteemed laboratory, a cutting-edge research facility that is meticulously equipped for the comprehensive analysis of phytochemicals. Our collaborative efforts involve the isolation and identification of phytochemical compounds, followed by a meticulous exploration of their diverse bioactivities. The laboratory is equipped with an array of sophisticated instruments, including Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (Q-PCR), an advanced Animal Cell Culture Facility, and a dedicated Animal Rearing Center.

The NMR spectroscopy allows us to unravel the intricate structures of organic compounds, ensuring precise identification of phytochemicals. HPLC facilitates the separation and analysis of complex mixtures, crucial for isolating and characterizing individual components. GC-MS is employed for the identification and quantification of volatile compounds, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of phytochemical profiles. Q-PCR enables molecular analysis, aiding in the quantification of gene expression and furthering our comprehension of the biological impact of phytochemicals.

The laboratory′s ment extends to in-depth biological investigations, facilitated by the presence of an advanced Animal Cell Culture Facility. This dedicated space allows for the cultivation and experimentation with animal cells, enabling us to delve the intricate interactions between phytochemicals and living cells. Moreover, the laboratory maintains an Animal Rearing Center, providing a controlled environment for ethical and regulated in vivo studies, where we can explore the effects of phytochemicals on living organisms.
